Since my first Art History class in high school, I have always been passionate about incorporating illustrations into my note taking as a way to more richly tell the story of the subject I am learning. My notes were no different in college when I was studying as an Art History major or at the Gemological Institute of America when I was earning my Graduate Gemologist certification. After learning about gemstones in an academic setting, I was quickly inspired to share this knowledge with the community I was building on Instagram. Utilizing my approachable illustration style, I have created a variety of media celebrating the science, beauty, and lore behind countless gemstones. I describe this content as your gateway to the world of gems!
